I was driving down a rural road in Alabama when I noticed what looked to be a person deep in the woods sitting on a fallen tree. I turned the truck around and told my friend who was sitting shotgun, "There was a man sitting by himself in the woods." He said, "No there was not." I pulled to the side of the road and jumped out. My friend said, "You're crazy!" Sure enough, a man was sitting by himself in the woods. He had a backpack to his left and as I approached him I think I startled him.
He told me that he was okay and that he was just taking a break from walking. He said that he had walked for miles and wanted to rest. I sat down and talked to him for a while and he told me that he was writing a poem. He saw my camera and told me how awesome it was that I was taking pictures. I told him that I love to travel all over the place and take pictures of "Life."
I looked at his olive green backpack and asked, "Army?" He said no with a laugh and then stated, "Eddie Bauer." He told me that his back pack had traveled all over the country with him. From Denver, Colorado to the countryside of Alabama - where I ran into him.
His expressions were so awesome, I couldn't just post one.
